Continuing and enriching the scientific and institutional discussion that the International Network for the Study of Arab Societies began in 2021 at the first Inass Forum, then the second in 2022, with its members, partners, and friends from scientific institutions, research centers, and civil societies, on major topics of concern to the scientific community, civil society, and decision-makers in the Arab region. In accordance with this approach, the network was organized in partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation – Tunisia Office and the Higher Institute for Applied Studies in the Humanities in CAF, University of Jendouba (Tunisia) The third Enas Forum for scientific institutions and research centers under the title “Understanding and Managing Crises.” Approaches, Experiments and Models,” in Tunisia (Regency Hotel), on April 19-20, 2024. 28 speakers and discussants participated in the forum, including researchers in various specializations in the social sciences, humanities, and applied sciences, in addition to community activists who came from Tunisia, Algeria, Lebanon, Morocco, Libya, Egypt, Jordan and Switzerland.
The ENAS Forum constituted an annual evaluation pause for the role of the International Network for the Study of Arab Societies in developing scientific networking mechanisms, and a consultative pause with participating institutions and centers to develop future visions and programs and mechanisms for their implementation, with the aim of contributing to the development of the knowledge product and contributing to decision-making in the Arab world. This year, the third ENAS Forum presented the topic “Understanding and Managing Crises: Approaches, Experiences and Models,” which was chosen by the network’s member institutions, As a current topic, it received consensus in the network as it is a thorny issue today that affects various societies in the Arab region and the world without exception, even if the types, forms, degrees and levels of crises differ from one region to another.
