The transformations that struck the Arab world after the events of September 11, 2001, established international terrorism that was associated with Arabs and Muslims in particular, and led to a change in the form of the relationship between the Western world and the Arab world. This topic is the second title of the Renaissance Transformations series organized by the network within the framework of the joint project with the Arab Renaissance Organization for Democracy and Development (ARD) under the title “Transformations in the Arab World after the Events of September 11, 2021, Effects and Consequences.” A number of Arab thinkers participated in it. In the context of reconsidering the transformations that struck the Arab region after the events of September 11, 2001, researchers focused on explaining the Western discourse hostile to Islam in general and to Arabs in particular, by focusing on the civilizational conflict between the West and the East, which led to such events. Some also touched on the role played by the media in spreading and producing theses that are hostile to Arab Muslims.
