The network followed the issue of citizenship in the Arab world. The discussion moved from the general to the local level. In this context, it organized the national forum entitled “Curres and Ways to Develop Citizenship in Algerian Schools” in partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Algeria Office, and the Religion and Society Laboratory at the University of Algiers 2 on December 1, 2022. The forum concluded with a number of recommendations centered around the need to focus on citizenship practice within the school through the establishment of educational, cultural and artistic activities. It also works to achieve a balance in curricula, textbooks, practices and behaviors between modern global values and local/traditional values. It focused on the importance of accumulating field studies on classroom practices in teaching subjects and their relationship to citizenship practices. وأهمية تكوين الفاعلين التربويين والمعلمين بالخصوص في التربية على المواطنة وتعميم ممارستها في الحياة اليومية. فضلا عن ادخال أساليب التربية النشطة في تدريس المواطنة. وضرورة تأسيس هياكل ولجان التلاميذ في المدرسة لتجسيد المشاركة في تسيير المدارس وتتخذ هذه اللجان الصفة الاستشارية. كما ضرورة اشراك الفاعلين التربويين في نقاش واسع حول المواطنة. ودعت إلى إعادة النظر في مناهج التدريس والتكوين على مستوى المدارس في مراحلها الثلاث. وخلصت التوصيات باقتراح مؤتمر دولي للتعرف على نماذج عربية أخرى والاستفادة منها في عملية تحقيق المواطنة في المناهج العربية
